Businesses looking to expand from out of state need to locate and operate within
a KOZ to receive state and local business tax exemptions. For companies already
located in Pennsylvania, these exemptions can be realized, provided companies
either:
• Increase full-time employment by at least 20
percent
in the first full year in the Zone or
• Make a capital investment equal to 10 percent
of its previous years gross revenues.
The Northwest Pennsylvania Keystone Opportunity Zone is made up of twenty
subzones in nine counties. Sites range in size from ten to thirteen hundred
acres. Land is available for sale or lease.
